I’m not a big reader of romance novels but this one is just so heartwarming. I’m surprised by how much I enjoyed reading this. The rest of the book is a combination of both Lina’s story and her mother’s journal entries, which act like a second story. The tale quickly moves forward when Lina finds out about her mother’s journal, the one she kept when she had been in Florence herself, before Lina was born.
